Height/Weight: 50 meters and 20,000 metric tons.

Summary: You can't keep the king of all monsters down! Not at all! There's a new Big G in town, and he's going to kick the asses of every single kaiju that happens to get in his way, no matter how silly or perilous it turns out to be. Unless they want to lend a hand, that is.

History: After the Godzilla-related disaster that occurred in 1954, everyone thought that the threat of Godzilla was over. But it had only just begun, as a second Godzilla was sighted on an island fighting another monster named Anguirus. Yup, there were more of those irradiated dinos out there, and this one came just in time. Years passed, and the monster came coming back to fight more kaiju. It wasn't until the arrival of the even worse King Ghidorah did someone get to convincing him that destroying all humans wasn't worth the effort and time. That kaiju was one of the twin Mothra larvas that had defeated him earlier. After a bit of reluctance alongside his new rival Rodan, Godzilla decided that maybe Mothra was right, with the big pterosaur in tow. From that moment on, Godzilla came to appreciate the world around him a bit more, and only fought kaiju that menaced the world and humans alike while keeping away from the latter as much as possible.

Notable Kills: Biting out chunks of Anguirus neck, throttling Kamacuri to death, ripping a smog monster's exposed innards apart and burning them until there's nothing left, and twisting his mecha-copy's head off make for a good resume in kaiju years.

Final Fate: Godzilla's been buried under ice, thrown back into the sea countless times, gored, electrocuted, covered in toxic sludge, among other punishments, but nothing has stopped him from persevering through it all. And besides, after his little spat with Mothra, he's won every fight he's been in (not for lack of trying from his opponents, though). In the end though, nothing beats being away from all those noisy humans and chilling on Monster Island with all of your friends.

Powers/Abilities: It's all in that thermonuclear breath, which apparently is so powerful that it can propel Godzilla through the air as if he's flying! He's also amazingly nimble, as he can literally slide on his tail and deliver a powerful kick. He can also be a magnet for some reason. Godzilla got pretty weird as the series progressed.

Weakness: Anything bigger than a few tanks works to a fault, though electricity seems to be his least favorite attack.

Scariness Factor: 4.5-Godzilla may still be one of the most powerful and destructive kaiju out there, but his actions were increasingly less harmful to us humans as the series progressed, so it's not a 5 this time.

Trivia: -The Showa era of Godzilla movies is also the longest, lasting for more than 40 years.

-This era is named for how many movies were made before the death of Emperor Hirohito, Japan's 124th emperor, and the ruler of the "Showa Era of Japan" (or the "Period of Japan's Enlightened Peace").

I'm sure they'll work it out.

Even Kaiju need dental work! Geez!

Rock beats radiation.

King Kong 1933 vs. Godzilla 1954. How about that?

When did Godzilla get dwarfed by Mothra again?

"If this is Heaven, then I'm sorely dissapointed."

Sand in the ears is nothing new to him.

When breath weapons go wrong.

First impressions are always...memorable.

Sometimes, you just have to look the other way.

They took their battle too far!!!

"Just ignore it and keep walking..."

Thankfully, this romance never got off the canon ground.

What's wrong with Ebirah's name?

Minya is THROUGH with messing around.

A walk into the flames might as well have been the final fate of Minya.

Father-son "quality" time.

What HAPPENED to you guys?!

Multible Godzillas and a giant ape do not appear. Sorry.

Geez, what happened to your mass, Hedorah?

Eyebrow lasers? Really?

Spoilers for the Heisei era?

The sun rises like the result of nuclear devastation.

A.K.A The island only there for less than a minute.

Odd, but meaningful in a way.

Especially not the people who forgot to put Gigan in this poster!

Suffice to say, this film gave him Hell.

3 against one is never fun.

Electricity lines apparently make great garrots.

Even when they make Kong bigger, Godzilla still comes out on top!

Something about the eyes doesn't look right.

Godzilla Vs. The Great Old Ones

Hey, look. Her kids finally made it.

He's REALLY no morning person.

Ghidora: Soulless, evil, and ready for carnage.

Took a little while, but they finally got past their differences.

AIM, Godzilla, AIM!!!

A happy moment.

Wow! Mothra got straight-up possessed!

A Heisei spoiler that didn't even need a stock-photo.

Godzilla's secret to his boiled lobster recipe.

I had a monster egg, once. It was my landlord's cooking.

Admit it. You thought this was cute.

Yeah. Laugh at this facepalm. HE JUST GOT SHOT IN THE EYE.

Did Godzilla just get a girlfriend? Also, King Kong? Here?

That smile doesn't bode well.

This is the most awesome this film can be. And it's a poster. Dang.

Looking a bit lean there?

Moral: Pollution will MESS. YOU. UP.

"And this is my 4th and final form!"

"I've...lost control of my life, officially."

Ultimate battle? You really ARE that old, Megalon.

This was a low-note in the history of Kaiju.

Wrath of Kongzilla!
Try and guess who's Godzilla here.

Mario watches intently.

Purple kong?!

Did King Kong become an actual god when that lightning hit him?

Infant Island doesn't get caught in the crossfire. Don't worry.

"Go to school, Godzilla!"

You'd think this was Rodan's movie.

King Ghidorah begins to regret his attempted genocide.

Okay...what?!

"I, Ebirah, claim dominion over the sur-OH, GOD! WHAT IS THAT?!"

....okay.

Greatest challenge? Uh...

And thus, they learned of volleyball.

Godzilla's done with messing around!

The Kamacuras is the highlander, apparently.

Albino Ghidorah joins the ranks of Albino Gyaos as a forgotten idea.

Looks like Minya learned of Godzilla's "happy moment".

Damage Control Groups...I've got some bad news.

Did someone switch films?

Sadly, that Mega-Ship and giant human don't appear. Niether does Kong.

Minya, being stoned, serves as a metaphor behind the making of this film.

Apocalypse, you say?

Sorry. Different ancient city. And is that an Easter Island Head?

Trippy.

Okay, REALLY?!

Anguirus has a breath weapon?

Attack of the Hedge Monsters!

The first monster battle and it's...eh...

Trains actually don't make good nunchucks.

At least Oodaku made it.
'
More like "things", but okay.

"Mothra...WHO'S THE FATHER?"

Oh, sure. Kick 'em while they're down.

They're afraid...yep. We're doomed.

Lizard-Apes are not in the film, guys.

Oh, hey. Those guys made it.

The 3 of them promised to never speak of this again.
Mothra: The first organic ariel transport vehicle of Japan.

Mothra's looking a bit Heisei herself.

"You get a pass."

A thankfully accurate depiction of Godzilla's son.

Deep within that hatred lies a heart.

Featuring the All-Star cast!

Before the Avengers...there were these heroes and one villain.

Godzilla, as it turns out, can alter his beam's trajectory.

Pollution doesn't only happen in the enviroment.

"The chokeing of the air...IS POWEEEER!!!"

That's something you don't see everyday.

Wait, Gigan has an eye laser?

This feels a bit tasteless now.

Nice balancing act there, Goji.

For once, machine and kaiju get along.

That's something you REALLY don't see everyday.

Hail Caesar!
